Emily Yang

Xuan (Emily) Yang was admitted to practise law and began working at Abrahams Meese Lawyers (AML) in October 2023.

Originally from China, Emily is a native Mandarin speaker who completed her final years of school and her tertiary education in Melbourne.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne, with a major in Criminology and a minor in Sociology, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Melbourne.

Emily holds a particular interest in the intersection of law and technology and has undertaken projects using AI to make legal rules more comprehensible and legal processes more efficient.  She is dedicated to helping AML and its clients to capture the opportunities provided by new technologies and to manage the increasingly technical day-to-day practice of the law.
